365 Photo Project: Day 14 'SOMETHING YOU'RE READING'
I haven't been reading any books lately which is a little sad because I love to read. I still buy the books I want to read hoping that it would motivate me to start again. No such luck until I got a copy of 'The Owl and the Woodpecker: Encounters with North America's Most Iconic Birds' by Paul Bannick. I originally bought this book because of the amazing photographs; as you all know I've been obsessing with the work of Paul Bannick since the beginning of last year when we were at the High Desert Museum in Bend OR and visited the traveling exhibit of 'The Owl and the Woodpecker' there. The man in brilliant. Not only are the photographs in this book spectacular (well, actually I think they're beyond spectacular), the book is very well-written, engaging too. If you love nature and/or photography this is a great book to own. I might actually finish reading this book. Ha! My little Evan enjoys this book as well; he loves all the photographs of the owls and the 'peckers' - that's what Evan calls woodpeckers, 'Peckers'. Too funny!
